Reflections on War, Faith, and the European Union

May 10, 2023 Wednesday. 5th week of Easter.

The night in our region calmer. Worse in Dnipropetrovsk Region and the city itself. Anti-missile systems shot down Shahida drones. God give us peace, a just peace!

A short but specific word: “If you abide in Me, and My words in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be fulfilled for you.” Holy Spirit come!
WE LIVE IN WAR, WE DO NOT LIVE BY WAR.

Germany. Munich.
The prospect of Ukraine joining the European Union, but, as John Paul II said when Poland was about to join the Union, “yes” to the Union, but based on Christian values. God grant that Ukraine will be in the European Union on Christian values.

The war through the eyes of eight-year-old Mark.
To paraphrase the child’s words: I’m not afraid to die, because I listen to my mother. I’m going to heaven… And what is heaven…? I think heaven is like Ukraine, where there is no war. Where there is no Russia….

Croatia.
Increasingly, the question is, what can we learn from Croatia, which has also experienced war? An open question…..
